Already the largest independent publication for the education sector, Australian Teacher Magazine has lost its battle with the bulge and is now expanding even further.
With more pages packed with more stories, news and views, we’ve set forth into unchartered territory – primary schools.
Success stories from primary schools nationwide are now sharing the spotlight, alongside all the regular spin-free coverage of news, views and issues from secondary schools.
Tempo Media was established in 2002 to cater to secondary students and educators. Starting out with S-press, a newspaper designed to inform, educate and entertain secondary school students, we soon realized that the education sector sorely lacked an independent voice.
Australian Teacher Magazine was launched in 2004, aimed directly at secondary educators and with a fervent ambition to provide teachers and principals with balanced coverage of the many and varying issues affecting their profession.
The response has been staggering. The secondary education sector has whole-heartedly embraced the magazine, to such an extent that we are now able to expand even further.
Our move into primary schools is an acknowledgement that the entire sector is increasingly affected by the same issues – whether it be Building the Education Revolution, NAPLAN testing or the national curriculum.
Some things don’t change though. Australian Teacher Magazine is committed to providing balanced and informative coverage on the issues that matter to educators, and that will always continue.
We are looking forward to a wider readership, building new links and continuing to provide an unparalleled service to educators across
